Introducing ourselves to Dalbeattie during the Christmas lights switch on

Last night was our first time to go public and tell people what we're planning to do when we open for business next year. It was exciting and a little bit daunting at the same, especially when we got really busy!

It went well. It was good to be part of a community event and see Santa and the parade go past the shop and be there for the moment the lights were switched on.

The best bit was seeing the intense concentration on the children's faces as they designed and created their wooden Christmas tree decorations. Some children took up to 15 minutes to make their ornament. Everyone seemed pleased with what they'd made to take home. And it was great to talk to parents and grandparents and let them know what we will be doing.
