The Make and Create Workshop runs as a drop in, so generally no booking is needed. However, we can get busy during the school summer holidays, so we recommend contacting us to reserve your work bench space especially if you are a larger party so we can make sure we have the space available for you. We'd hate for you to come along and be disappointed if we couldn't accommodate you.

Our workshop is packed with a range of wooden projects all designed, created and made by us here in Dalbeattie.

Projects are made from birch veneered plywood, or recycled and found materials, They range from simple makes for little hands, to more detailed projects for older children and adults.

Projects range in price from £5 to £15. We have makes that may take around 30 minutes to complete, to more complex builds that may take 2 to 3 hours if also decorating with acrylic inks.

There’s no pressure and no right or wrong way to create, just a warm welcome, a table full of materials, and the joy of making. Our Make and Create Workshop is a relaxed drop-in workspace where adults, children and families can build, create, glue and paint and let their imaginations run wild. Every project is designed to be fun, achievable and proudly taken home.

Most of the projects use a number of hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, pliers and hammers.

Some projects just involve gluing and decorating.

There’s always lots on the shelves to choose from, including:

• Treasure chests and trinket boxes

• Projects with moving parts

• Seasonal themed projects for Easter, Halloween, etc
