Our First Blog Post

Hello and welcome to Dalbeattie Wood and our very first blog post.

The photos above were taken last week in Dalbeattie Town Wood. Today it's misty and damp after a couple of wet and windy days so I doubt they are looking quite as pristine and stunning today, but they are always beautiful whatever the weather or time of year.

Dalbeattie Wood is a new shop coming to Dalbeattie High Street. We are currently redecorating the shop. There's lots to do, but we can see our vision coming together slowly but surely. We will be running family workshops - wood related and arts and crafts, selling nature themed resources to get children out exploring the wonderful woods we have around Dalbeattie and wooden products made by local crafts people.

We will keep you updated on our progress as we pull everything together.

We are planning to open the shop and run a children's Christmas tree decoration workshop during the Dalbeattie Christmas Lights Switch On on Friday 24th November. So watch this space for more details!
